Can I apply for asylum after entering Canada on a visitor visa?

Nothing physically prevents you from submitting an asylum claim once inside the country. But if your file fails to prove personal persecution under the Geneva Convention or direct threats against your life, the IRB will dismiss the claim. You will then receive a removal order to leave Canada. Asylum is not an alternative solution for economic difficulties back home.

Can I select an institution other than Université de Moncton?
