We deliberately limit our services to three specific areas: the federal Express Entry system, family sponsorship, and study permits. We do not take on any cases related to temporary work permits, recruitment contracts, Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP), or Quebec immigration streams.

Express Entry: How to Approach the Federal System

The Express Entry system manages permanent residence applications for three federal programs, mainly the Federal Skilled Worker Program. For several months now, IRCC has held category-based invitation rounds. French-language proficiency holds a central place among these categories outside Quebec.

Language Tests Accepted by IRCC

This is one of the earliest traps North African applicants fall into. Many hold a DELF or DALF certificate earned during university. Keep in mind that IRCC flatly refuses DELF and DALF for economic immigration.

Only the following tests are valid to prove your language skills:

• In French: TEF Canada (Test d'évaluation de français) or TCF Canada (Test de connaissance du français pour le Canada). Be careful not to register for a general TEF or a TCF Québec by mistake.
• In English: IELTS General Training, CELPIP-General, or PTE Core (Pearson Test of English). TOEFL and IELTS Academic are not accepted for Express Entry.

To qualify for a francophone category draw, a score equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 across all four abilities (reading, listening, writing, speaking) is the minimum required by IRCC. A solid score in English will bring valuable additional points to your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.

Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)

Before submitting a profile to the pool, you must have your Maghreb degrees evaluated by a designated organization (such as WES, ICAS, or the University of Toronto). This process takes between two and four months. The assessing body verifies the authenticity of your academic transcripts and sets the Canadian equivalency (for example: a 3-year North African licence evaluated as a 3-year or 4-year Canadian bachelor's degree).

Studying in Canada: The Université de Moncton Option

Pursuing higher education remains a dependable route to acquire North American credentials, particularly for high school graduates and young professionals. However, tuition fees in major Canadian cities can quickly become unmanageable.

For our clients, the institution we recommend is the Université de Moncton, located in New Brunswick (you can also review official provincial portals like gnb.ca). Please note that the university is not an official partner of our firm: we recommend it independently for practical and financial reasons. Université de Moncton conducts its courses entirely in French, charges tuition rates noticeably lower than the Canadian average, and provides a French-speaking environment on a human scale. Another Canadian institution remains possible based on your preference, but we guide clients toward Moncton first because of the overall cost-effectiveness.

Understanding the Academic System

• Undergraduate Entry: A high school graduate (baccalauréat holder in the Maghreb) enters the first university cycle in Canada, known as a "baccalauréat" (bachelor's degree), which generally lasts 3 to 4 years.
• Graduate Entry: An applicant with a Maghreb licence or master's degree applies to a Canadian master's program (1 to 2 years).
• Doctorate: Available after completing a recognized master's degree.

Our firm handles the admission application process free of charge. The institutional review fees billed by the university remain your responsibility, as do the semester tuition fees and the proof of financial support required by IRCC for the study permit.

Francophone Minority Communities Student Pilot (FMCSP)

Université de Moncton takes part in the FMCSP. This federal pilot is open to citizens of International Organisation of La Francophonie member countries, which includes Morocco, Tunisia, and Mauritania. Its specific terms are clear:

• Language Level: While IRCC requires a CLB 5 in French, Université de Moncton requires a CLB 7 to accept an enrollment under this stream.
• Adjusted Living Expenses: The required threshold for living funds is lower compared to the standard study permit program.
• Transition to Permanent Status: After graduation, dedicated programs help make the transition to permanent residence easier.
• Capped Spaces: The federal government enforces an annual quota of spaces. You must submit your file as soon as the admission cycles open.

$3,500 CAD per application:

• Initial consultation: $100 CAD
• Stage 1 – File opening and document preparation: $1,650 CAD
• Stage 2 – Receipt of official decision: $1,750 CAD

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Does my DELF B2 diploma exempt me from taking the TEF or TCF?

No. Certificates issued by the French Ministry of National Education (DELF or DALF) are not accepted by IRCC for federal economic immigration programs. Only TEF Canada and TCF Canada are valid. Submitting an application with a DELF will lead to an immediate rejection of your profile from the Express Entry pool.

2. Why do you recommend Université de Moncton over a school in Montreal or Toronto?

Living expenses and tuition fees are substantially lower in Moncton than in large metropolitan areas. In addition, for French-speaking North African applicants, New Brunswick is Canada's only officially bilingual province. You can study in French while living in an environment that supports access to the FMCSP and post-graduation permanent residence.

3. Can AMRI Consulting secure a job offer or a closed work permit for me?
