Duration: 2 years
The DAA is a 2-year full-time program, the length required by the public policy. Eligibility is still checked case by case.

Eligibility Criteria
The Francophone Minority Communities Student Pilot (PPECFSM) is for citizens of Francophonie member countries (Africa, Middle East, Americas) admitted to a French-language program at a participating institution outside Quebec. IRCC requires at least NCLC 5 in French; Université de Moncton asks for NCLC 7. The pathway includes a study permit then, after a program of at least 2 years, a pathway to apply for permanent residence with no job offer required.
Processing Times
The deadlines for obtaining a study permit vary depending on your country of residence. After graduation, the permanent residence application follows IRCC's public policy, which accepts applications until November 30, 2032.
Costs and Budget
In addition to the institution's tuition fees (variable depending on the program), plan on CAN$150 for the study permit and CAN$85 for biometrics. We help you build the financial plan (proof of funds) required by IRCC.

Do I need to find an employer before graduating?
No. The permanent residence public policy tied to the PPECFSM requires neither a job offer nor work experience. It does require a full-time program of at least 2 years, valid temporary status and the intention to live outside Quebec.
